MMRL hosts 12 undergraduate students in the 2010 Summer Fellowship Program

Masonic Medical Research Laboratory (MMRL) is the only major biomedical research facility in the greater Utica and Mohawk Valley area and considers it an important responsibility to provide an educational and training program for gifted and talented students of the life sciences. The MMRL Summer Fellowship Program is designed to educate, instill scientific curiosity and prepare and guide our college undergraduates in making career decisions.

The students attending this year are: Denis Avdic (Utica College), Jonathan Blazek (University of Albany), John Boyle (Cornell University), Alexandra Chico (Providence College), Natalie Chlus (Bucknell University), Alyssa Cortese (Utica College), Ahmeda Hrustanovic (Utica College), Nadime Issa (Syracuse University), Anjali Patel (New York University), Alyssa Petroski (SUNY Potsdam), Lei Ruan (Tonji Medical College, China) and Tyler Surman (Albany College of Pharmacy).

The Summer Fellowship Program would not be possible without the generous sponsorships from the Slocum-Dickson Foundation, Utica Lodge 47, F. & A.M., Bredablick Lodge 880, F. & A.M., Ashok Patel, MD, Theodore Max, MD and Drs. Atul and Amita Butala.
