Speakers & Tours

Medical research has extended and greatly improved the quality of our lives and continues to be the cornerstone for further advances in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. Help us spread the word about our life-saving medical research.

We welcome the opportunity to tell our story to a much wider audience. Speakers, tours, literature and a DVD or Computer Based presentations on the Masonic Medical Research Laboratory are available through the Development and Communications Office.

Speakers

Ronald P. Kamp, Director of Development and Communications and members of the Board of Directors are available to present a lay level program on the importance of medical research, current research and achievements of the MMRL.

Members of the scientific staff are also available to address professional audience. Areas of expertise include Experimental Cardiology, Molecular Genetics and Molecular Biology. The length, scope and depth of presentation will be tailored to the audience.

All requests for a speaker must be directed to the Development and Communications Office. Please provide multiple dates and as much advance notice as possible when requesting a speaker.

DVD Presentation

The MMRL offers a comprehensive overview of the MMRL's research and scientific achievements. Copies of the presentation may be obtained through the Development and Communications Office. The presentation is free. However, please expect to pay a small fee for shipping and handling.

Tours

Institutions of higher learning, community and civic groups are welcome to contact us. Group tours of the MMRL may be arranged through the Development and Communications Office.

The MMRL holds an annual open house on the third Saturday in June. Informational seminars and tours of the facility are conducted from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. The public is welcome to come and learn firsthand how the treatments and cures of tomorrow are being pursued at the basic research level.

Laboratory Literature
